Last updated:

16/05/07

Overall Star rating:

3.0 stars

Summary/Overview:

This document provides a clear introduction to the evidence around the effectiveness of community engagement across specific policy areas- crime, health, education, employment, housing, regeneration and local government. It provides references to a wide range of studies.

As the report was published in 2004 some information is becoming dated, although the document still provides a brief and easily digestible introduction to community engagement initiatives, and uses international case studies to support general information.

This report is useful for people who need to find evidence to make the case for public participation.
