The Scarman Trust

Last updated:

Summary/Overview:

The Scarman Trust is a national charity “committed to helping citizens bring about change in their community, in the way that they want.” The organisation funds and supports hundreds of individuals who in turn mobilise in their own communities.

The Trust runs the ‘can-do exchange’- a social marketplace where resources and skills are put on offer or requested, and also provides training using the resources it has developed. The Scarman Trust also provides small amounts of funding to kick start local projects.

Training and advice is provided to those projects funded by the Trust. The website uses clear language to express key points, but the colour scheme and layout makes it difficult to read.
