Summary/Overview:
The NHS Centre for Involvement is an NHS funded consortium comprising The University of Warwick, The Centre for Public Scrutiny, and Long-Term Medical Conditions Alliance (LMCA). The NHS Centre for Involvement acts as “a ‘hub’ for the NHS and intermediary groups to share good ideas on involvement, to promote the value of involving, and to work with NHS staff and organisations to build on the foundations of notable practice already in place in many parts of the country.”
The Centre functions as a one-stop shop for information and advice on Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) and encourages organisations which lead the way in PPI and support and advice to those who need it.
The website is fairly easy to navigate and is well designed, making use of innovative functions such as online video and allowing users to provide feedback on the website. The site is currently setting up an online community.
The site also features reports and online practical tools, a quarterly newsletter, a news section and a comprehensive links section.
