Summary/Overview:

The Citizenship Foundation “aims to empower individuals to engage in the wider community through education about the law, democracy and society. We focus particularly on developing young people’s citizenship skills, knowledge and understanding.”

The organisation’s website links to a large number of resources relating to citizenship and also provides a news bulletin. Most resources specifically target children and young people, but some are transferable for general use. The Foundation also runs competitions for young people to raise awareness of citizenship issues, and has an online forum.

The website design is attractive and functional- it is easy to find what you are looking for. In addition, there is a section aimed at young people which provides links to relevant information and activities.
