The Centre for Local Economic Strategies (CLES) describes itself as ‘an independent think-doing organisation involved in regeneration, local economic development and local governance.’ It is a charity and consists of a network of subscribing organisations, including regeneration partnerships, local authorities and community groups.
CLES provides organisations with advice on regeneration and economic development, either as part of a subscription package or as a one off. Other services include a library of books, reports and journals, an enquiry service and Publications, all of which are available both as part of a membership package and to others for a fee. CLES also does policy research and organises events and training for people working in regeneration.
