An accessible, well designed website that aims to help bridge the ‘growing democratic disconnect’ between elected representatives and members of the public, through transparency and public engagement. It provides a database which allows you to find out who your MP is, and to search through parliamentary debates, questions and answers since 2001. Each MP and Lord has a page which outlines various statistics and facts relating to their parliamentary contributions.
They Work For You also provides an email service that can be tailored to send bulletins of relevant information discussed in Parliament to your email account. There is useful glossary that can be added to by users. They Work for You has inspired a highly active online community, evidenced by the many comments added to the pages on a wide range of issues.
