The info4local site was created to draw together to information from more than 65 government departments, agencies and public bodies that would be useful to local authorities . It is run by a group of seven departments, led by the Department for Communities and Local Government.
The site has an excellent range of current information that can be accessed easily using the search engine. There is also the option of using specialised news updates (RSS feeds) to stay up to date, or of receiving tailored email alerts to recently added information. The site also benefits from clear graphic design and succinct use of language.
