Summary/Overview:

Every Action Counts is a government initiated programme to support community groups to make a difference to their communities and the environment. The programme focuses on ‘Saving energy, travelling wisely, shopping ethically, saving resources, and caring for local areas.’

The site provides an overview of the programme, including information on basic steps that individuals and groups can take to make positive changes for the environment. The site features free information and resource packs. There is also information on how to become an Every Action Counts Community Champion.

For organisations there is information on how to develop Sustainable Development Action Plans and Environmental Management Systems. The site includes resource packs, manuals and training materials for community workers to use with local communities. There are also every Action Counts training sessions for community development workers, organised by the Federation for Community Development Learning.
